*Gets information about demographic of targeted audience. Highlights what things people do not use from other apps, but would like to use. What are people really using.
Okay to send survey out to all army contact, does not need to be a scientific sample (this happened when you are ready to publish the research. We are just using the survey to inform our design. We want the sample group to actually help us, so they do need to be a good target.
Keep it short and sweet. Make it fast to get through. Think of the design of the survey. 10-15 questions at most.
Surveys are more broad questions to get target populations behavior. Then you could use a couple people to get verbal feedback.. could use this focus group with the population who has phones.
- Do you want the app to automatically log you out when you get a call or navigate away from the app for some reason? If not, how long do you want to remain logged in? (shawntel)
- Would an option to search by topic or thread be useful? (Jonathan)
- What sort of resources would you like to be able to link to directly from the app? (Shawntel)
Could cluster the questions into groups as long as we don't lead the surveyor into a bias.

Think about including demographic questions: gender, age range, military experience?
Keep survey open for 2 weeks. Send a reminder after 1 week to those have not responded. Expect to get 2% back (the norm). Shut it down after 2 weeks.
